Yesterday, as you know, was New Year’s Day. Will took the day off from work and wanted us to do something awesome as a family. We chose to visit Wildlife Safari, a “roaming zoo” about 150 miles away from where we live. I plan to do a longer post on our trip next week, so I’m not going to talk about it much here, but I wanted the Picture of the Week to be a bit of a teaser of things to come. 😉

Oh that is so funny! We went to one of those drive through game farm things once. The bison we’re trying to block us and I forget what kind of animal it was that tried to break through the window and get the bread they gave us to feed them. Scary moments. We didn’t go back.
Oh, my, Kemi! I think if it had been a bison “attacking” us instead of an emu, we would have been basically terrified too. The emu wasn’t so big that we felt that we were in danger. It was mostly funny as it stood next to our car and wrapped its neck around the driver’s side mirror.
