One of the blogs I read on a regular basis, Homemaking Organized (which happens to be written by a friend of mine), posted about a pretty cool e-book that’s available for free right now. I downloaded and read through it (it’s only 21 pages with lots of photographs), and knew that I wanted to share it with you guys. If you sew at all, even just a little bit, you’ll be able to benefit from this book.
What is it?
It’s called Save Those Scraps, and is offered by Craftsy. You’ll need to register for a free Craftsy account to get the book, but it’s well worth it – even if this book is the only thing you ever get from them. There are articles throughout the book covering topics such as:
- Sorting your scraps
- Displaying your scraps so you’ll actually remember to use them
- Ideas for what kinds of quilts are best when made from scraps
- A tutorial for a specific quilt block pattern
- Tips for using the selvages of your fabrics
I don’t know how long this book will be available for free, so make sure to click the link above and download your copy right away!
Blessings,
There are no affiliate links in this blog post. I just heard about this book and thought my readers might benefit from knowing about it. Your download doesn’t affect me or my blog in any way.

Aw thanks for mentioning me and you have inspired me to quilt by the way. I usually use my scraps for doll clothes but I would like to make a quilt 🙂

Oh, Kemi, you’re so welcome for the mention :). I’m excited to see what you come up with for a scrap quilt! I know you can do it!
